Honestly, its kind of like saying Ive been to the pacific coast in california and northern mexico a bunch, so should i skip the pacific ocean in ecuador or south america?
Yes, its all the same ocean, and yes, many places might look similar, but it depends on what you are going for in your trip.
Most islands anywhere in the world in tropical areas are similar and offer similar things. Blue/Green water. Sand. Palm trees. snorkeling and swimming. and more laid back culture. But each island has its own peculiarities and subtle differences, or cultural differences, etc.
Corn Island is no different. Its a carribean island, so in many ways its exactly the same as other islands in the carribean. But the culture is influenced by nicaraguan, and native, the food is influenced by it. There is a weird american influence as well.
I dont know that i would call it "better" or "worse" though specifically.
Corn Islands are amazing. But honestly, if you are tired of the island scene, and arent coming on your trip specifically looking for a laid back carribean island experience, there is more than enough to see on mainland nicaragua to keep you busy for your couple weeks here.
If you love carribean islands, and want a laid back carribean experience, there is no better place in nicaragua at least than corn islands.
