Hey There,

So I´m planning on spending Semana Santa in Leon...probably most of my time will be spent in Las Penitas, I was just wondering if anyone has been to Las Penitas for Semana Santa before? Whats it like? I heard they do a sand castle contest? Anyone seen this before?

Also, Im looking to get from Managua to San Jose CR on Easter Sunday...do the buses run this day? OR anytime during Semana Santa?

I was in LAS PENITAS last Semana Santa!
Don't remember sand castle contests!
Basically everyone goes to the beach and parties!

If you have reservations already you should be okay.

For buses during Semana Santa - reserve NOW!, and also for any other accomodation. Managua is dead, everywhere else is crazy & transportation either full or unreliable.
