We are a party of 4 adults and wish to fly from Managua to Panama City on Dec. 30. The cheapest deal I could find was on the internet and was with Copa Airlines, tickets selling for $440. US one way. Does anyone know if it would be cheapter to just buy my ticket when I arrive in Managua or is there any other airlines flying to this destination with more economical rates? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I'm trying to figure out exactly the same for Easter, and COPA is ridiculously expensive. TACA fly the same route but with layover, eiter El Sal or San José. For my flights, TACA was around 300 USD (as opposed to 550 USD with COPA), but with stupid flight hours and a 12-hour layover at El Sal.
If you find any other airlines still, please post them here! Thanks.

When flying inside CA one-way, I've always found better prices when buying a round trip ticket and chucking the return.

People just have to keep checking both TACA and COPA websites very, very often.
One day those airlines could be having an airfare sale the others, their fares would match any U.S. - Europe fare.
Even if you got the time, travelling by bus Managua - San José and flying from San José SJO to Panama (TACA, COPA, Air Panama) won't save you that much money.
