I will be staying in the Le Tigre National Park this autumn, which is outside Tegucigalpa. I plan on bringing my bicycle so I can ride into town. I've heard it's a dangerous city, but can anyone tell me how bad it is? I have kind of a crappy bike and don't wear flashy clothes, but I'm unmistakably a Gringo. What are my chances? Thanks!
Transportation from Lake Atitlan, Antigua or Guatemala City to the Copan Ruins then to Roatan, Honduras
Three of us are traveling from Lake Atitlan, Guatemala to Roatan the first week of June and want to see the Copan Ruins also. We can take a Hedman Alas bus from Guatemala City to Copan arriving about 2pm, meaning we have to wait until the following day to tour the ruins and stay a 2nd night. It will then take us all of the 3rd day to reach Roatan.
Does anyone know of a shuttle or other…
HELLO. planning a trip to roatan west end for next week and am currently a little cash-poor. are credit cards accepted at any restaurants there? looks like from what i've read, that cash is king there. will my credit cards be pretty much useless? if so, i need to shuffle some resources around.....also, anyone have any opinions or experiences with LANDS END RESORT? thanks, susan
hello, trying to plan a last-minute trip to roatan... will be flying stand-by coming in on continental to san pedro sula next monday, may 12. how difficult is it to get a ticket for roatan at the airport day of departure and does anyone know the approximate cost? looks like there are 3 airlines who do the route, but it's difficult to find much info about up-to-date schedules and cost.... ON A DIFFERENT NOTE...we will be arriving in roatan without any hotel reservations.....will we be…
Greetings all,
Can anyone tell me whether I'll be able to buy chloroquine once I arrive on Roatan, and whether I'd need a prescription? Anything else I'd need to know about this?
Many thanks!

Hi everyone,
We are arriving in San Pedro Sula at 7:35pm in the evening, with all business sorted we will probably get out of the airport at 8-8:30pm.
Is there any chance there is an overnight bus to Copan?
Or would it be recommended to crash somewhere in SPS? If so where does everyone recommend? Should I get the place to sort us a pick up from the airport?
If we cant get an overnight bus, when is the first in the morning? and from where?
Cheers guys, I appreciate your help!

Hey guys,
i'm planning a 3 weeks trip to utila at the end of august this year. unfortunately i'm also planning to run a marathon at the end of september. does anyone know if it's possible to do some running exercise? is the island big enough to run a few miles? what temperature is it like at this time of the year in the morning?
i don't know if anyone had this crazy idea before to travel to a small tropical island and to running exercises there, but it would be great if somebody who already…
Here's a sort of "best of" from our two week trip to Honduras this past March. Finally got time to put them on line http://picasaweb.google.com/dputz1/BestOfHonduras2008 They don't do the counry or the trip justice. Cheers.
I haven't even arrived, and unfortuantely I'm a;ready planning my departure.
My flight for Houston leaves San Pedro Sula at 11:50 am on Monday, May 19. I'd prefer to spend my last night on Roatan instead of SPS. The Islena/TACA flight from Roatan to SPS (via La Ceiba) is scheduled to arrive at 9:55. That feels too tight.
Like others in this section, I haven't found a functioning website for Aerolineas Sosa. According to roatanisland.net there's a Sosa flight on Monday, May 19 at 7:30 am which…
Hi all: We're going to be in Honduras for nine days in August (flying into SPS). What are the top three places we should hit? We're thinking 2/3 days per location. Thanks in advance :-)
