La Moskitia

I and my wife will be arriving in Honduras from Malta in Europe around the 17th of January.
My question is "Are tour operators functioning normally to La Moskitia?"

I have read that if there are 4 people on a tour to La Moskitia forest, the price will be reduced considerably.

I and my wife will like to take the 7 day Overland tour to La Moskitia.

From the website of La Ruta Moskitia, the price of this tour will be reduced from $590 to $450 per person there are at least 4 people in the tour. And…

Tegucigalpa

Hello
My friend is flying into Tegucigalpa to meet me for a month of travelling. I will have already spent 3weeks in Belize.
Ive read all the reasons why we shouldn't hang around there very long, so am planning to arrive the day before check into a hotel, pick him up the next day, then back in the hotel for 1 night, before heading north to the coast.
Can anyone recommend a hotel that would be well placed for this and of a reasonable quality, dont mind spending a bit more on this stage of the trip.

Looking for one nights lodging in Roatan for the night of 12/29 for about 3 generally sane city slickers. Of course we are getting much holiday pushback and 'we don't do one night" resistance - any advice, reccos would be most helpful!

What is your honest opinion regarding traveling in honduras. I hope to be traveling with 6 students in late march, a few well minded ones. Our guests in Honduras declare that the political climate has subsided and that travel would be fine, they are very casual about this and I was feeling positive about my plants. My colleagues are under a different impression regarding the climate and this has caused me some pause in my ambitions. I will be traveling by rented bus from the airport in San…

I would like to take 10 days to two weeks off in February and I keep coming back to the idea of Honduras. It look like I would likely be flying into/out of Tegucigalpa or San Pedro Sula. Is it worth spending a day or two in either city? Is Copan a day trip? How easy is it to get to Roatan from the mainland? Is two weeks too much/not enough?

Lodging on Roatan can be hard to narrow down... reviews, like on Trip Advisor, seem to suggest that almost everybody loves almost everyplace they stay... almost all ratings are 4-5 stars.

We are making our first trip to Roatan in February for two weeks. The first week we will be on the West Bay beach, reservations already nailed down.

The second week we plan to spend in West End. After considerable back-and-forth we have tentatively narrowed it down to two spots... Las Orquideas or Sueno del…

La Moskitia

I am seriously considering of taking a 7 day overland trip to La Moskitia with La Ruta Moskitia. The price of the trip is USD460 all inclusive with all transport (ie. buses, boats etc), accomodation, tours and food included.
The places include Belen, Raista, Las Marias, Yamari Savannah, Walpulban Sirpi, and Pawaka Beach.

Can anyone who has gone to this place guide me whether it is worth the money and spending one week over there?

Also, i have found the site of La Ruta Moskitia on the…

Hello!

I am headed down to Central America for 5 weeks. Hoping to get to Belize, Honduras and possibly another country (El Salvador, Guatemala, southern Mexico). I was reading about the Garifuna villages around Tela and was wondering if anyone had more information on them and whether it is possible to visit them independently? Also any general advice on cool places/hostels/activities etc. in any of these countries would be much appreciated! I am into hiking, scuba diving, skateboarding…
