I am searching for a travel companion(s) to visit the region of La Moskitia in February-March.
I am flying into San Pedro in March. I am looking to get 2 alum 80 cu ft cylinders and 100% oxygen for diving related activities. I won't be going to Roatan or the Bay Islands. Does anyone know of a local welding shop or any place to get oxygen? Also we called a dive shop in puerto cortes and they wanted $400 for a week on 2 rental tanks!! In the US you could do the same for $100. Any info would be appreciated.
I would love to turn back the clock ten years to when I didn't need to drag along an oxygen concentrator, and BiPAP medical gear. But so be it.
The problem is that I will need to haul all this gear from La Cieba to Roatan, and it's way too much for one person to handle on a passenger ferry. The word outrageous comes to mind.

Just arrived in La Ceiba and am looking to catch the earliest ferry to Roatan tomorrow morning. My LP says it leaves at 9:30am, but just asked 2 different people at my hostel who told me 2 different times. Can anyone who has recently taken the ferry tell me the correct departure times? Thanks!
We booked two nights for three persons on line, at Hotel Graditas Mayas in the town of Copan Ruinas, Honduras. We placed a deposit and when we arrived we were informed that the price was US$10.00 more expensive than advertised. The admissions desk clerk sympathized with our protests but there was nothing he could do. Please be advised that this could occur and maybe bookong elsewhere would be a better idea.
P.S.: The visit to the ruins was first rate.

Where do you recommend I spend these couple of days? I was thinking of staying in Tela, and hanging out around there. Any good spots for snorkeling or just chilling on the beach?
