Hi, looking for some comments/reviews about the drive from Copan to La Ceiba, road conditions, safety, and then the "vomit comet" over to Roatan. Is it really that bad?
Looking to go with family and small kids in tow (two families) in a week. Any insights are appreciated.
Does anyone know which are better ziplins? The ones in Copan or Roatan?
Also the costs for either of them would be appreciated.

Been checking TACA, CM, Lanhsa airlines to try to find a flight from ROATAN to SAN PEDRO SULA before my noon departure flight back to the US.
Have seen a "schedule" of SOSA but can't seem to find the website.
Does anyone know if SOSA has a website and if there are any other regional airlines I may be missing?

I am planning a trip to Utila in Jan 2011, spending at least 3 months on the island to get some scuba certifications, and completing my IDC. I have been researching on the forum and saw a scary post about safety (rather, the lack thereof!) in Honduras. Is it really that bad down there?! I will be traveling alone, but I am a pretty 'street smart' person. I was in Thailand for nearly a month by myself, and never once was I in fear for my personal safety. Now I am a bit worried haha…

I'm due to stay in Honduras for 10 months and have been looking into various debit/credit card options, but am not sure what would be the best option. I was wondering if anyone out there could advise what would be the best option? Would i be better with a credit card or perhaps one of those pre-paid credit cards for day to day life? Any advice would be greatly appreciated

in August I will be in Copan for a couple of days (maybe more!), as I'm arriving in Copan around 18.00 directly from SAP Airport, I would prefer to book a room in advance.
I'm looking for a place not too expensive and quite lively where to meet others fellow travellers!

We are heading to Honduras for 2 weeks in August. We will spend three days in Copan area and a week diving in Roatan. In route between Copan and La Ceiba, we think we would to spend ~ 3 days on the north coast. The mangroves and wildlife sound great at both Jeanette Kawas National Park and the Cuero y Salado Refuge. We are trying to figure out where to stay -- Tela or ?? We are a family of 4 and will have a car. Tela doesn't sound that promising. Is there a more interesting place to stay…
