Hello there;
I am new to this site.
I will be headed to Utila late february to early may 2010. I have not been ther for a long time.
Any help with a economical room or apartment, or possably a shared apartment would be greatly appreciated. Got any ideas or contacts?

Check out aboututila.com - lots of great accommodation links there. We enjoyed Freddy's place just over the bridge toward the old airport.
My other advice is to not type in all capitals - it feels like you're shouting at us. ;-)
rick, try rubis inn which is run by tony and rosa rubi.its on the water in the center of town just 5 min. or so from the ferry.their inn is clean and has acommon kitchen and an area to sit out back on the water.super friendly and extremely knowledgeable of the going on on the island.prices range from 20 -45 per night though weekly or monthly arrangements may be possible.we havstayed ther twice since this past june for a total of 1 month and loved it...there are places fo 10usthough there is no comparison ....tony can help you in many ways so there can be some additional savings there....hope this helps...utila is a great place..
