Hello everyone

I have a question perhaps someone here can help.

I will arrive San Pedro Sula 2:30pm in the afternoon. I would like to immediately go to either Santa Rosa de copan or to Gracias. Are there buses that can get me to either location before dark on the same day i arrive ?
Is the bus terminal very close to the SPS international airport ?
I would prefer a direct bus to Gracias if possible.

Details will be appreciated as i do not speak spanish and will be difficult to ask direction.

Maybe Santa Rosa or La Entrada but forget Gracias until the next day.

arrived in sap a year ago and took a taxi directly from the airport to the bus terminal. it took about 10 minutes and cost $13 u.s. that i'm aware of, there are no direct buses from the airport to the bus terminal. to get to gracias, lempira from sap, your best bet is to go to santa rosa de copan and from there catch another bus directly to gracias. note that south of gracias the road to esperanza is (still?) not paved. the prior post indicating a stop in santa rosa de copan is good advice especially after a long (?) flight.

I agree with the other replies and think it will be impossible to arrive before dark, even if you took a cab all the way straight from the airport. It gets dark here at 5 to 5:30, and it's a relatively long trip even if it's a short distance. Santa Rosa is a nice place and I think safe enough that even if you arrive at night you'll be OK. Take a cab to your hotel from bus station. Most good hotels are in the old part of town by the park, which is pretty and tranquil.
