If you're not on www.couchsurfing.org yet, sign up on that, and on to the subgroup of Honduras. There's a lot of couchsurfers in Tegus, and they get together frequently, so you can put out a group post to see if anyone wants to meet up, as well as searching for individuals living in Tegus that you can contact with private messages asking them anything you want to know (or asking to stay with them if you want- the website can be used both for information and get togethers, as well as for staying at people's houses).
