Hi folks
I will be visiting friends in Utila and Roatan next month before heading to another friend's wedding Ambergris Caye (15th Oct). I'm having trouble planning best way to get there, so hoping someone on the forum can help!
If there is anyone out there who knows someone with a yacht going that way- PLEASE PM ME! as this would be ideal!
Failing that - anyone done this route by bus or plane?
Flying - it looks like an overnight would be needed in San Pedro Sula to catch the early morning Mayan Air flight to belize city (and its expensive!) and Taca would be an overnight in San Salvador. Both are pretty expensive too
Bussing - do I have to go to Guatemala city to change buses to get to Belize City? Seems like a long detour. Anyone got experience of the D express ferry from Puerto Cortes to Placencia and then onwards?
