Hi,

Me and my girlfriend are considering going to Honduras in June and will in that case be going to the north coast for diving.

I've tried to gather as much info as I could about the weather, but I just wanted to hear from people who've actually been/live there in june.

I hear the rainy season shouldn't be as bad in june on the north coast, but I've also heard that it's hurricane season (which sounds a bit scary to a dane). We don't mind the occasional shower as long as it doesn't last more than a few hours.

So, will we have to bring wellies if going in june? And how's the temperatures?

Best regards,

Jacob

Jacob -

June weather is great, a bit hot and humid, but not much rain. It would be hugely rare to have a hurricane that early in the season.

We've had great weather in June/July/August and are heading back again this summer. Have a great trip and be sure to tell us all about it!

Start of the rainy season. You'll probably see a few downpours but nothing like what comes later in the year.

June should be ok, you can never be 100% sure but it is alot better time of year to go than Nov, Dec and Jan. For diving you will probably need to head towards the Bay Islands - Roatan, Utila or Guanaja but do consider a trip the La Ceiba or Tela to break the trip up for some nature stuff - good rafting in La Ceiba.
