I will be traveling to Roatan at the end of November, staying on the East End. From everything I've read, the area is rather quiet. Does anyone know of any restaurants or drinking spots there? Or will we need to go to West End/West Bay for nightlife? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!!!
There are a few lodging options that offer meals to folks not staying there, and Las Sirenas in Camp Bay is an option. It's very quiet, though. If you want nightlife, you'll have to stay in West End/West Bay because it wouldn't be possible/practical to make that trip in the night. Where are you planning to stay?
How far east are you staying? Here are a few places on that side of the island:
The Palapa Bar and Grill at Parrot Tree Plantation
BJ's Backyard in Oakridge
Hole in the Wall in Jonesville
Las Sirenas at Camp Bay
Marble Hill farms apparently has a restaurant there
Herbies Bar and Grill in French Harbour
ROA disco in the mall at French Harbour
Mid-island, Island Saloon is a really fun place to go dancing, it's half-way between French Harbour and Coxen Hole.

Thank you for your suggestions! We're staying in Turquoise Bay Resort. Is it really not possible to go to the west side at night? I understand it's about 45 minutes away, but I would be willing to take a ride once or twice. We will be in Roatan for a week. Of course it would be best to also have some fun/tasty options closer to our hotel.
