Does anyone know the latest schedules of any buses running from airport or San Pedro terminal to Copan. All I can find on Hedman is a 2:15pm bus from airport. My plane lands at 1:30pm with la Costena air and I will have a checked bag so a bit concerned about making it to the bus on time. Cannot find anything on casasola's schedule or El Rey Express. Does anyone know if anyone leaves later than 2:15pm so I can get to Copan the same day?

The Hedman Alas bus leaves the station at 3:00 according the website; if you don't make the 2:15 bus from the airport to the station maybe you could buy your ticket at the booth at the airport (on the left as you exit) and hop a taxi to the station and make it in time. Are you sure you need to have a checked bag? It could save you an hour or more if you could fly carryon only and most travelers don't need more than a carryon's amount of stuff, even for months imo.

Perhaps that will work, just depends on time it takes at the airport. I will be packing light but this part of the trip is at the end of 2 months, and I think my backpack is slightly larger than carry on dimensions.

Play with times on this schedule and you'll find there are several different bus lines that depart within your timeframe that will get you to Copán.

Just get to the bus terminal, there are several bus lines that run up to Copán, plenty of first and second class buses and you should be able to get there same day, as long as you can get to the terminal by 5pm.
