If anyone has any recommendations for a place to stay in Amapala on Isla El Tigre, I sure would appreciate it. We're traveling there in March and would like to stay on a beach, but not essential. Cost is a non-issue, but cleanliness is a little more important. Hope to hear from someone....
Just one note... When you arrive at Coyolyto park your car at one of the pay to park places where its under guard... take a boat over to amapala, dont pay over 100 Limpera per person and do not let a local talk you into staying on the other side of the island... you will end up taking a taxi (or walk 3 miles like i did) to amapala to eat and tour around. At amapala we met some great people and had a fun evening. I dont know where they were staying but there are some nice places there.
