Please can anyone offer advice for how to go about booking Fuente Del Norte, Guatamala to Flores bus tickets before we go at the end of Feb? We're arriving llate on 27th Feb, going straight to Antigua and want to book tickets for the 9pm luxury overnight bus on Sunday 1st. Any advice much appreciated! Thanks.

Im going to guatemala in February for a 11 day mission trip id like a cell phone so i can contact ny family in the US. Im flying into Guatemala City. Wouldi be ablr to get a phone at the airport? I have searched the threads and on this and am unable to find definitive information as to whether the fine for a short overstay can be paid upon departure at the Airport in Guate or whether I need to deal with this issue beforehand at immigration in the City. I was looking at hotels and hostels in Xela on Trip Advisor and booking.com for Jan 9, 10, 11. Most of the highly reviewed places were either fully booked or close to fully booked. Do you think that is accurate? Should I book something for backup and then call for reservations when I am in the country? Usually I don't make reservations when I travel, is Guatemala different? Should I be making reservations for all the places we will visit?

I want to find a awesome place to celebrate the new year eve on Dec. 31st. Although I think San Pedro is a good place for party, I have been there and celebrated Christmas in San Pedro. Do you have other recommendations? I am a solo female tourist so safety is also an important consideration XD
Or do you recommend me to celebrate in Mexico City or Copan, Honduras?
