Has ANYONE heard of, or had experience with, Casa de Lenguas in Antigua? I'm feeling nervous about lack of info and I'm due to start my trip on June 28. Any info would be really appreciated.
The info posted here has been really helpful. I'm rethinking my plans...
Thanks,
Nancy

If you prebooked...that was a mistake. There are so many good schools... always visit first. Pay by the week.

I wouldn't look forward to heading to a school that wouldn't communicate effectively with me, especially since there are so many options. Check out Guatemala365.com. I mentioned in another thread our son's extremely positive stay at Academia de Español Antigüeña in Antigua. The Guatemala365 rates it highly and it's one of the cheaper schools. If you haven't paid a deposit I'd pick a different school, either one that will communicate with you online or, as mentioned above, one that has the right "feel" once you're on the ground. Hope you find just what you're looking for - keep us posted.

Hi Nancy,

I also considered Casa de Lenguas, based on their very well presented website. But, when I emailed them with a list of questions they never replied, and I had a hard time finding additional info or ratings online, so I crossed them off of my list of potential schools. Instead I am studying at Probigua, which was rated pretty well on guatemala365. It´s only my first day, but it is pretty good so far!
