We will be at Lake Atitlan next week = February. Are there mosquitos now??

Haven ever notice any in either place. It is usually bedbugs and fleas that you have to loo out for.

Was at the lake this past Sunday through Tuesday and there were a few. Here in Antigua they're starting to come out now as well as Sancuros.

they are called zancudos, i live at the lake and have not had a problem with them or mosquitos.

When I was camping last summer up at Road America for the races, it was raining very heavy, and the mozzies still were flying around and killing small farm animals...Wisconsin and Minnesota have HUGE Mozzies compared to Central America...they look like F-14's...
