Just wondering about the language schools in san pedro

I was was just wondering if anyone could give me advise on what the best schools are to go to study spanish at in San Pedro, Lago de Atitlan. I've been in contact with the directors of both flor del maiz and san pedro language schools, and both proprietors seem like great people, although it's extremely hard to judge by email. I liked the look of both of these schools as they both offer volunteer programs to help the children of the village with their homework. It would be great to further my spanish studies and put a little back into the community. Has anyone studied at either of these two schools? Or is there any others that come highly recommended. If anyone could help it'd be greatly appreciated.
