great post. one question though - what is an SD memory card?

My digital camera uses a postage stamped sized storage device called an SD memory card. I like to travel with at least 4 or 5 so I can periodically stash them with my valuables. That way, if my camera is lost or stolen I won't lose all my trip pictures at once. I also packed along a USB memory card reader last summer so I could plug the cards into the computer and upload photos to the internet to my blog.

Glad you liked the post. Happy trails!
