Hi there,

I wondered whether anyone could tell me if there is a direct shuttle or bus from Lanquin to Rio Dulce? I have seen there is a reverse one from the Sun Dog cafe in Rio Dulce to LAnquin but I am struggling to find any information on doing it the other way around.

I have read it is possible to go to Cahabon and then from there get a bus to El Estor and then a taxi to Rio Dulce but it said the bus leaves El Estor at 4am! I would much rather go directly if it is possible and so if anyone knows of a better option I would be very grateful to hear it.

We are planning to go from Antigua to Lanquin, to Rio Dulce then up to Flores.

Many thanks for you help.

I am only replying because you didn't get any replies yet. I have not been from Lanquin to Rio Dulce but we asked about it when we were in Lanquin. There might be a shuttle but there should definitely be a bus/minivan going to El Estor. And then you can take a bus to Rio Dulce. Ask your hotel in Lanquin.
I think there are quite a few daily buses from El Estor to Rio Dulce.
Check here (this schedule is good to get a general idea but is not always correct/complete):

Where will you be staying in Lanquin? Depending on where you are staying, the hotel/hostel might offer direct services to Rio Dulce. Of course it will be a bit pricey if you go through a hotel but at least get there and don't have to worry about getting there on your own! I paid 185Q from Lanquin to Rio Dulce via Utopia Eco hotel (they are a pricey hostel)!
