I know its hard to spot them, and you have to be lucky, but I wonder where in costa rica is it best opportunites to spot jaguar in costa rica? Ive read Corcovado. Is there any place where you could take a tour at the caribeeans coast and have some chances?

Buenos dias! I'm a 22 year old girl and am planning to travel alone to Costa Rica for some surfing, learning some Spanish, and maybe some working if i'd find a bar or something that would hire me for a month. I just want an overall very relaxed get away. I'm travelling alone from the end of December till the end of January and am looking for a place where it wouldn't be too lonely to spend Christmas and new year. So preferably a place with people my age, and maybe a bit of going out. I heard a…

Buenas!

I will be arriving in Samara at the end of December and staying till the end of January to study Spanish and work remotely. Would anybody be able to recommend a place to stay that would be affordable? I asked a local hostel but they informed me that the price couldn't be adjusted due to it being the high season (which I understand but leaves me searching for something more affordable). Any recommendations? Muchisimas gracias in advance!

Dear Travelers,

I am landing in San Jose on Dec 7 at 1 PM. I have a scheduled hike for 3 days starting from 12 Dec in Corvocado.

I was thinking about exploring the Arenal & Monteverde from Dec 8 till Dec10, I would really appreciate your suggestions in this.

I have time from the morning of Dec 8 and I have to reach Puerto Jiminez by the evening of Dec 11.

What do you suggest me to do for 3 nights ?
Is it possible to cover both Arenal and Monteverde in such short time ?
Are there Buses to…

Hello guys, I am an 22-years old Israeli currently in Panama. I want to travel to Costa Rica in a couple of days and staying there for at least a week before coming back to Panama. Honestly this is my first time backpacking and Costa Rica will be the first time I will do it solo. I plan on entering Costa Rica using the Paso Canoas border crossing. I really need advice as to which places to visit as there seems to be thousands of them and honestly I failed to do much of research as I did for…

Hello, my sandals were lost/stolen the other day. Would like the buy a new pair while I'm in San Jose. While it's easy to find sandals in the stores here, unfortunately I wear size 46 EUR, 12 US shoes and these seem to be pretty hard to find from my first attempt today. Any suggestions?

Hi, I'm 21 years old planning to go to Costa Rica for my spring break. I'm looking for a companion(s), preferrably female(s). I'm planning to stay at this affordable scenic jungle style but comfortable airbnb place. There are a lot of things to do near by there such as horse back riding, snorkelling caño island, hiking the national park, kayaking up beautiful rio claro, climbing waterfalls, and relaxing on the secluded beaches. Let me know if this is something that interest you! Last note, the…
