Any recommandations on lodging...midrange(40/50) .
Are the hotel along playa negra very far walk from the village?
Thank you
Hi all,
I'm stopping in San Jose for one night and I was wondering if it would be easy to find a camping supply store (or similar)? I'll be staying at Hostel Pangea in (San Jose, Barrio Amon Ave) and I need to buy things like a mozzie net and repellent. Does anyone know if these will be easy to find in the area that I'm staying? Or am I better off bringing them from home?
Thanks in advance
Mads
I live in San Jose and am meeting up with a friend in Quepos this weekend to drive down the coast. We have two days and we're planning to do part of Corcovado and any beaches in the region that are worth it. We'd like to do a short hike; 2-3 hours, hopefully with a waterfall if possible. How long does it takes to get to the park from Quepos? Any medium priced places to stay in the area that are nice? Any suggestions on beaches? I've heard good things about Mata Palo, but it's all the way…
Hi!!
I´m Spanish women. I´m 30.
In August I will go to Costa Rica for 14 days -14th to 28th-, alone.
I know that in Costa Rica there are not problems to go alone but I would like to go with someone.
I´m thinking to go to Puerto Viejo, 2 days Rafting in Pacuare river, Tortuguero, Arenal, and Pacific Coast, but already I´m not sure.
Maybe there is someone in my situation and maybe we could travel together.
Hello all,
I was wondering what kind of weather I can expect in August... It looks a bit grim on all the websites I have visited, but I have a friend who was in Belize last August and swears it was fine.
Also, can I get my PADI in CR?
cheers
Ian
The wife and I will be taking our 3rd trip to Costa Rica in late October. On previous trips we've visited Tamarindo (x2), Nosara, Samara, Montezuma, Manuel Antonio, La Fortuna, and Puerto Viejo.
For this next trip we're thinking about renting a house in Puerto Viejo for 2 weeks and spending our entire time there (without a car). Would 2 weeks be too long? We thought about maybe going to Bocas for a few nights - is Bocas really worth the hassle of busses, border crossing, and a boat to get there?
…
I am hoping to spend most of my time on the Caribe side and would like to know where the party areas are and particularly if there are any parties with electronic trance type music. Any visibly gay communities found in CR, PV perhaps?
Cheers and Beers
I was reading about the Sloth Refuge camp. Does anyone know of a cheap place to stay near by or if its accessible from Cahuita?
I've been to Costa Rica before and am looking for something new. I am a 30 year old women traveling solo, and want to lean how to surf. I've heard Tamarindo is great for beginners. Is there a recommended school? Any place good to stay? What is the nightlife like?
Never been to Tamarindo before, nor do I know how to surf!
Hi
Heading to the Caribbean coast soon and was wondering if anyone has any reccomendations about places to stay. Am ideally looking for a friendly hostel around $10-15 per night. Looking for somewhere I can stay for a few weeks and ideally can find some Spanish lessons nearby and maybe cooking lessons. Somwhere which is an interesting base.
Thanks
Clare
