hello, I plan to bring along a smart phone. How much approximately would cost a SIM card for internet and calls usage for approximately one mont? Would I need to buy another SIM card for Panama? Have you been in that situation before? Can you pls help? I am planning to leave behind my lap top computer and replace it with that smart phone as nowadays everybody is doing it. thanks a lot.

Now eliyakim, have we not already been here, and in considerable detail?.
Once again, you can buy your SIM card at Costa Rica airport and at any store with the sign of the green frog (Kolbi). You can decide how much to load it with from $10 upwards and when it runs out you just top it up again by buying more credit. $10 will last very long time for local calls, but not very long for international. Data depends on the amount of downloads, but like I say- when you run out you top up. It will not work outside of Costa Rica.
