Hi guys... another itinerary post!

Me and my partner are hoping to head out for 14 nights end of July/beginning of August. Were doing 4 nights in Drake bay to hopefully fit a day diving Cano island.
Were then flying back to SJ airport to self drive for 10 nights, were thinking 3n Monteverde and 3 Arenal (hoping to do a days rafting if its not too ambitious?)
We just can't decide how to split up the last 4 nights. Im wildlife mad and he loves an adventure / adrenaline based activity!

Thanks in advance :-)

I would skip Monteverde, its very overrated and touristy too. Its 4 hours anywhere, and a long slow drive up the mountains. There is not much wildlife to see, especially compared to areas like Cano Negro, Tortuguero and Sarapiqui areas.

Arenal is not active.

Go back to SJ, and either get a car and head to Arenal, Tenerio/Celeste Waterfalls, Rincon and Cano Negro, or, bus to Arenal, and then shuttle to Pavona for boats to Tortuguero, then head to Cahuita, then raft the Rio Pacuare back to SJ...
