Coming to CR in Oct, first 3 days are booked in Cahuita, wondering if it's worth the time to drive to Rio Celestle, If the water will be Blue or to much rain?

The Río Celeste hike at the Tenorio National Park is one of the nicest attractions in the Northern Lowlands of Costa Rica. October is one of the rainiest months of the year. If there is heavy rain the day before you may not be able to see the beautiful coloring of the river as it will get mixed up with mud. If you are planning to visit the Arenal Volcano area you could leave a free day to go on this trip is weather conditions allow or in the worst case scenario sign up for an alternative activity, whether this is nature related or adventure.

Thank You gtravelcr, i'm a photographer and would love to shoot the Blue water at Rio Celeste.... i'm looking for some amazing places to shoot off the beaten path if you know of any killer spots Please let me know, Thanks Again!

Hi there! There are many places across our country that you can photograph.
If you travel to La Fortuna, Arenal you can take great photos of Arenal Volcano. During this time of the year it is more frequent to capture the shape of the volcano from base to the top.
You can also visit the La Fortuna Waterfall, a 70 meters fall with a nice natural pool at the bottom, take a walk on the hanging bridges or do the trip to Celeste River if weather conditions are good.
What other areas are you planning to visit? If time allows you could also try to visit Monteverde Cloud Forest or go all the way to the West Coast to photograph stunning sunsets.
