i am going to cr late july finally, just need some drive times so i can stitch up my itenerary. what is the drive time from the following, and if anyone has suggestions on a better route please chime in.
san jose to dominical
dominical to puerto viejo
puerto viejo to monteverde
monteverde to san jose
this is my tenative schedule as of now, but i am open to suggestions. i have the distances between the two, i just need the estamated times. thanks, todd

Type your destinations into this searchable bus schedule and the trip times are displayed in hours. You might make it a little faster driving but these will give you a pretty good idea of what's reasonable.

Yikes !!! Those are some long distances. You can count on averaging 40 miles an hour. This is due to trucks, roads etc.

san jose to dominical- 3.5 hours, via the Pan Am to San Isidro de General.
dominical to puerto viejo- nuts....3.5 hours back to SJ, then 5 hours to PV, not a good idea in 1 day, its all 2 lane, trucks, and mostly mountians.....suicide.
puerto viejo to monteverde- Even nuttier....5 hours to SJ, then another 3.5 hours....thats ahuge drive, and Monteverde aint worth it. Tortuguero and Bruillo is a better option.
monteverde to san jose- 4 hours
