We want to do some white water end of January. It looks like this is the best river. Is it worth the extra money to do the 2 day trip vs the 1 day trip? We are thinking of Rios Tropicales due to the good reports. Thanks!

Its not any longer a ride, you just take out 1/2 way and sleep riverside...then continue, as far I know. I think 1 day is enough...

I used family owned, and they grew up on the river, Exploraoutdores.com. The better hotels use them, and they are about the same.

Safety is more important than price, in regards to this activity, like Scuba Diving, it is High Risk, people have drown over the years, so listen up on the lessons prior to paddling off to the jungle...

Thanks! Safety is a big concern. My 24 year old daughter has grown up rafting in US mostly Jackson, Wyoming area & spent more time in the river than the boat (always bounced out as she didn't weigh enough) Her boyfriend & my husband have not as much experience but are both in great shape. We want the kids to have great experiences during our trip, & have appreciated your advise.

I agree with the Tico. The two day trip is a one day trip extended over two days. I went on Rios Tropicales and I took the one day. On the two day, you get dropped off at a riverside lodge pretty early on the first day. IMHO, there did not seem to be much to do for the first day, but then again laying on a hammock reading a book in a beautiful setting is not a bad idea either. But just remember it is not two full days of rafting and I found the one day trip extremely satisfying.
