I've heard that you can buy valium in any pharmacy without a prescription in Costa Rica.
True?

Well, in principle you do need a prescription but the prescription process means the pharmacist issues it to you on request for a cost of $2. It means that your details and purchase history are recorded on computer but has so little relevance for visitors that most pharmacists don't bother, especially if selling profitable lines (Viagra is a good example).

boomer is correct, it is not just sold over the counter like a lot of drugs, but you can go through a little process to get it in most pharmacies. In Nicaragua, you can buy it straight over the counter just like asprin.

Flor de Cana is also sold over the counter without prescription. Works out cheaper, is as effective, and can be used in a more social setting.

Ah yes!!!!, the Flor de Cana. I just opened a bottle of 7 year and used it for mixing. I'm still looking forward to the 18 year bottle to share from the Super Bowl bet.

I just finished my jug of 7 year old this afternoon and have to settle for a Brahma. Keeps me off valium I guess...not that I've ever had one.

hmmm all this rum talk has given me a craving. My only problem is just how many bottles can i post home?
stupid Australian customs will only let me bring back 2.25 litres tax free, any more than that and i pay tax on the lot.

I'm guessing the Centanario 21 is the way to go. so whats the typical price for this rum? cheapest place to get it?
