Please allow me to know thanks :)

Not really, camping is not a big thing in Costa Rica or Central America, you can camp at some surf camps and some local hotels by beaches but you can't leave your stuff or it will not be there when you return.
Lodging is pretty inexpensive. You can get nice/decent places for 20-40 bucks in most places.
Camping is not a very good idea in CR, and much of Central America. Locals do camp on some beaches during main holidays, but otherwise, its not advised do to theft. The popular surf beaches that does have camping, your usually contending with down n out drug heads that ran out of money in their travels, or poor locals on drugs/booze.
There is camping in some National Parks, safe there, though many requires permits and guides. (Corcovado).
The other problem with camping is, in dry season, beaches and jungles are very hot and humid, and in rainy season, it rains so heavy for hours its a mess. In the canopy, you then deal with a combo of bugs, mildew and humidity that in a manmade tent would be suffocating.
I suggest you just get cheap cabins, and for Corcovado, after hiking 19KM to the ranger station, sleep in the bunks and carry as little as possible for the 8 hour hike, promise.
Leave the gear at home, its the tropics, not the best camping conditions....
Thanks Joe,
Allow me to tell you my plan... Im tired and fed up with this "Gringo cookie cutter corporate disconnected cuture" and moving to Central America for good to start a life and form a family and contribute my life to the people. It sounds freaking insane and foolish to most people who dont understand the Vibration of the next stage of life in this book of life, but Im doing it.
Im not going to travel, I am going to SETTLE. I know all about the visa requirements and stuff, and know what it takes, and will experience it down there in the Real Time of existance. I am South African so I know full well about 3 and 4th world cultures.
Any solid advice for me will be gratefully appreciated :)
How old are you? All I can say is good luck to you and maybe you will learn something. By the way, everybody is fed up with this "Gringo cookie cutter corporate disconnected culture"
Big jump from campsites to a whole new life. Why Central America?....how do you plan to make a living?. Need to know a bit more before being able to offer "solid advice"...
Join the crowd, and Costa Rica, and Central America (and SE Asia) has plenty of like minded travelers/expats, thats for sure.
But your inquiry for advice is too general. I would pick a less expensive country than CR these days, Nicaragua tourism is just beginning to blossom, and there is a lot of opportunities in tourism related business. Costa Rica has been a darling for your type change of life plans for 3 decades, its properties have been flipped 3-5 times, land speculated to the point prices are absurd, and, plenty have failed carving out a life there...
Anyway, you can head to SE Asia? Far more exotic, safer and better food and much less expensive....Thailand, Burma, Laos and Vietnam....
BTW my niece moved to Cape Town area last year and has opened a business and already expanded it, she is 25, and loving life with her Fiance who is in the fishing industry....wedding in March, can't wait to get there...
I wonder how these private land owners with RV's spaces to rent, are going to be able to offer receptacle hook ups for sewage and waste water to be properly disposed of in the land of preservation and protection...??
Im 34 and I leaving to the unknown lands of Central America. I dont know where I will end up, I just KNOW. My plan is to start a life and form a family. How I will make a living, or where I will live, or whom I will be with,... I have NO IDEA... Just as much of an Idea as if I wake up tomorrow or not. THATS LIFE :)
However the GREATEST RISK IS NOT TAKING ONE. I will make it as you guys do in your life. Been in the US for 20 years and even though I love this country as I love my own(South Africa)... I sense just like the Jedi that I need to go and venture forth. I will NOT be returning to the Rat race and just LIVE.
Most people would think Im insane :) Haha... well thats even MORE Motivation to do this without any game plan, other than knowing what is right to do when the right time is and to engage with all my phyical, spiritual and emotional realms of my being.
I dont know if its in CR, Nicaragua,... We shall see for all of us what lies ahead... All I know is that ITS TIME.
:)
