I'm in San Jose, Costa Rica for another day and was hoping to buy a high quality pack while I'm here since my current bag isn't working out. I am looking for something with about 65L of capacity with good materials and solid construction. Can anyone recommend a store or shopping center that would have this? I have looked around the centro, but am only running into bags that seem to be of low quality or that would only qualify as a daypack.

You can try to find a outdoor store at the America Mall in San Pedro.
A larger backpack should be fit by a pro, that knows the correct frame and fit for you....

The american mall is the place to find the expensive high quality stuff. After shopping cross the road there is great bar called the rock bar,this place really hops early evening till late and has the coldest cheapest beer,Its a university crowd.Lost of locals that will speak to you,very fun
