We are here. We found a dentist in Liberia but that city proved to be very boring so we dont want to have travel back there and stay for 3 days. Its kind of a vaque question I know and Im sure someone will tell us to read everything first, but we are just taking a chance, its the spirit of this forum right. Anywho, anyone know of any good dentists that are not in LIberia and preferably in central or northern costa rica, with the additional caveat that its in a city thats not as boring as Liberia:) no offense intended.. Thanks again..
Most dentists of reputation are based in San Jose, but one exception is Dr Alejandro Leon B who is based in the Guanacaste beach town of Tamarindo. I would highly recommend him (he's also a champion surfer!)
(506) 2653 1112. He speaks perfect English.

there are good dentists all over costa rica. tamarindo is definitely not boring and would be a good choice. also la fortuna. maybe playas del coco.
even though you were located in liberia, there are tons of things to do on day trips from liberia so really no need to be bored.
liberia is not a tourist destination but a commercial center so for some it would be "boring." i used to live near liberia so for me it means doctor, hospital, shopping, mechanic. yeah.... kind of boring.

Yeah I didnt mean any offense. In all honestly it was our first day there and we just were befuddled by everything. We are definitely not pooping on the Liberians. Yay Liberia we love ya'll

Awesome information ya'll. We couldnt be more grateful. Its my sister and I and we really really appreciate all the help given to us by you guys on this forum. It really makes two girls traveling feel much more comfortable.. Thanks

I definitely could go to any pharmacy and ask around. Maybe its just me, but Im not too comfortable with that. In the states I only go on recommendations and such, I realize we are in Costa Rica, but Im being prudent all the same. So any specifics would be appreciated, especially 1st person experiences. Thanks of course, this list will definitely be useful.
Central Costa Rica has many dentists. A lot in San Jose. Here is a list of a few in Central CR. You can probably go to any local pharmacy and ask for a nearby dentist and they could point you in the right direction.
I don't remember the name of the dentist, but that's what I did a few years ago to find a dentist. It was near Heredia. They fixed my cavity for $15 total (without insurance) and the filling is still good.

Thats amazing.. I really need a crown fixed and it cost me a $1000 in the states. Its like 200-300 down here. I really need to find one.. Thanks

splacko2 - you might want to ask this question on the arcr forum. [www.arcr.net] many people who are residents of costa rica participate here and you can get a much better answer there, i think.
