If the weather says "thunderstorms" and "rain" does that mean all day?

it's the rainy season and you can't really predict accurately one day to the next. It rained early in the morning yesterday and there has been no rain since. Expect maybe overcast at the very least the next few days, but that could change in the next hour and it be nice and sunny. Other than laying on the beach or being in the water, the rain doesn't really prevent you from doing most other things. Get wet, it's fun

Usually it does not rain all day long, normally it rains later in the day. But on some occasions it rains all day or in the morning.

The weather map and forecast in the Tropics always says that, but the weatherman is at the beach.

When it says "Thunderstorms," I bring my umbrella when I do not expect to be back home before noon.
