I am interested in having a full face lift done in Costa Rica and have read that there are well trained physicians and excellent clinics. This would be an anxiety provoking procedure anywhere. I would appreciate any personal experiences and recommendations that any other members have had. Thank you in advance.
Professional standards are unlikely to be an issue but most people undertake medical tourism not to see the country but to save money. Of the people I know (mostly who came for dental work or operations) this rarely panned out. Once all the associated costs of flights, hotels etc plus the unforseen costs (upgraded procedures, further work, delays, return trips etc) were factored in, the final price was much higher than anticipated and they were quite fed up with all the upheaval and travel. Most quality practices are in the San Jose area and yet SJ is not a particularly pleasant place to recuperate or spend time (there are some exceptions) particularly if you are unfamiliar with the city and don't know many people. Those who have not been before think they will spend time among the peace and beauty of the natural world only to find themselves negotiating the chaos and congestion of the capital....

I would suggest mediroute website. I had hair transplant operation and they helped me all the way from arrival to departure. I had hair transplant but pretty sure they have facelift operations as well
I would consider Thailand before Costa Rica for a facelift, far more advanced hospitals and educated doctors in Bangkok. Cheaper too...
