im heading to costa rica middle of may to visit family and then i start my travels firstly in corcovado for the nature and to avoid the rainy season later on.
could i get some advice and suggestions.
firstly i may head to drake bay...(the 2006 lonely planet gude suggests the san pedrillo to sirena coast trek will be closed because of the rain at this time of year. i really wanted to do this coast trek.)
will i still be able to hike to san pedrillo station ffrom drake day and camp there and then day trek in to playa llorona. will i be allowed during wet season to trek here.after a day or two adventure i would then double back via drake bay to los patos station to camp before treking in to sirena for a couple of more days camp. i would then continue onto la leona station to camp before making my way down to cabo matapalo and then up to puerto jiminez. ive no rush and i know im happy with the camping and wildlife.
do you think i should visit san pedrillo station_ is the wildlife and the water fall at playa llorona worth it or should i just concentrate on getting in to sirena. i will be doing guided treks day and night as well as some treks myself.
any advice would be great

You're probably going to be disappointed to hear this, but trekkers are no longer allowed on the trail from San Pedrillo to Sirena.
I spoke with the rangers in Jiménez last month and they said that the route is now closed permanently rather than seasonally. If you'd like to see if there has been any change in this status the new e-mail for the Corcovado station is pncorcovado@hotmail.com and the reservations phone number is 735-5036

You should concentrate on getting to Sirena station, and doing the hikes/trails from there. This is the way to see the most wildlife. Camping is not allowed in the park other than at Sirena station.

Are you sure rexman24? It's been a few weeks but when I last checked they were still taking reservations for La Leona and Los Patos as well... $4 p.p. per night.

thats possible, I was thinking inside the park as opposed to on the edges. thanks for clarrifying.

the website(which appears to be up to date) says you can sleep at Sirena or La Leona stations for 5 pp or camp for $1.15.
so La Leona yes and Los Patos no it appears.
cool, where did you find that rexman24? The official government SINAC site is so out of date it still says $2
