Hey! My friend and I have booked to trek Chirripo in January 2018 starting from San Jeronimo rather than San Gerardo as all places were sold out. We have our night at the Basecamp sorted but finding it quite difficult to find information on how to book a guide for the trek and accommodation the night before without having to go through an expensive tour company. I think Chakra Eco Lodge might be a good place to stay for a night before/after the trek but still a bit unclear as to how to book that also!

Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

I have not climbed Chirripo but was researching it a while back. You might have seen the following websites already but if not, they might be of help:

Sometimes it is easier and cheaper to find accommodation and certainly a guide (if needed) when you get there.
