Boomer....Thanks for the correction, and all the vehicles you mention are great too, as is the Kia Sportage.
Just bought a Kia Sportage which actually solves this issue because it has a Steptronic transmission allowing you to switch between auto and stick but either way without the clutch. Genius!

Kia Sportage is the best 4x4 in the class IMHO....bang for the buck, and a solid car in and out....they have come a long way baby...
I learned with manual transmition, drove 17 years with automatic in north america for flat land, last 13 years manual here in CR for small distances, lots of curves, mountain roads and put holes conditions.

BOOMER1...I am shocked. Thought you were into vintage jeeps. Do you race old ladies on sundays with your new sissy shifter? My image of you is shattered and hope and I can deal with this disturbing news.

bolt action. lever action or automatic i have some of each oh your in the used car department sorry. don
Fair comment Scoot. I could play the "I bought it for the girlfriend" card but it wouldn't be strictly true. My last four vehicles have been Jeeps (two Wranglers, two Cherokees) so you could say I'm a fan. And I do still have a Cherokee if thats any mitigation?.
Nah, its just that I wanted to buy new and Jeeps have a terrible residual in CR because the parts and service costs are so high.
Perhaps one day you'll forgive me (if I can only forgive myself!).

I am selling my 2002 Jeep Wrangler, 5 Speed, 4.0L 6cyl, Black on Black with Tan seating, Black wheels, Front Push/Brush Guard, PIAA Driving lites, Rear Light brush guards, AC, Air Bags, Slit Doors w/ split windows, 26,000 Miles.... $13,999, bought it last year with 17,000...(4000 miles are hwy driving to/from Chicago>Montauk NY)
Its a gem, always garaged and looks new in and out....
