We are two 18 year old girls looking for a senior vacation. With nice beaches, night life and people to meet. We have been thinking about Belize and Costa Rica. Any suggestions on where we can find a place with all of these accomodations? (during mid February)
Hi I am going to Belize City in a couple of weeks and I've heard it is violent, a drug trafficking spot and gangs fighting each other. Such hear say on a small city worry me a bit. Can you help with your own experience and advise on streets/neighbourhoods to avoid? I understand street gangs are present more or else everywhere in urban cities but still any feedback would be appreciate. Thanks
I am already making plans for travelling in Central America next year (april). From Livingston I wanna go to Belize. Read some different things about boats from Livingston to Punta Gorda?
* Are there boats going daily from Livingston to Punta Gorda? If yes, how long does it, how much will it cost? Is it safe?
* Other/better options?
Thanx answering,
Harry
I have been trying to contact the Toledo Ecotourism Association (which is organizing stays in indigenous villages in the Toledo district) at the e-mail and fax number given at their webpage (http://www.southernbelize.com/tea.html), however none of these seem to work. Has anyone organized a stay through them recently and happen to know how to get in touch with them? Thanks.
Looking for the hailstorm of Belize & Guatemala from White beaches to surf to tikal and the Chichi market. Any suggestions on direction or sections for bus or air. Travelling end of November eh!
My Boyfriend and I will be heading to Belize for about 10 days the first week in october. We will be headed to a wedding in the San Ignacio area for the last 4 nights, where there will be plenty of hiking, horseback riding, canoeing, ruins exploaration, etc...
Where should we go for the first 5 nights? I love the beach and the ocean, and could lay on a hammock all day. My boyfriend- not so much. He would need some activities to go along with the lazy beachness. $0-80/night?
Any ideas?

I will be attending a business meeting on Ambergris Caye in January. This meeting has been held in Nicaragua the past 2 years, during which I rented a car and drove about the country afterwards.
I would like to do the same in Belize. Any feedback on road conditions or other aspects of road trips in Belize would be appreciated.
My family and I are flying in to Belize City on Dec. 24, but plan to move on to another town immediately. We're wondering about a good place to spend Christmas Day. Do businesses and tours typically operate on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day? What about public buses?
Thanks!

We were also considering to do a tubing/hiking cave excursion at the Cavesbranch but are wondering if this is overkill or too much of the same thing. we are traveling with 9 and 10 year olds and we are planning to spend 1 night in tikal. should we add an extra day at tikal or do two days doing cave excursions?
also we are going 4 nights to turneffe. should we just stay there a week or should we go to ambergis caye for 4 nights and split it. Besides…
