In the process of random searching I happened across this place. I think it might be worth a daring transit of Belize City. I’ve read on the forum it’s a very dangerous place, with murderers and muggers lurking around every corner. Looks like we’ll have to hoof it from the water taxi terminal across the swing bridge west to the bus station. Hello, just wondering about ferries from Punta Gorda to Livingston. I had heard that the ferries ran only Tuesday and Fridays, run by Asugena; However there looks to be another ferry run my Memo's Boat Service apparently daily at 1pm. Does anyone know if this is actually the case? Cheers.

I am flying into Belize City on Saturday, landing at around 2:30 PM. I am planning on heading to the bus station, and getting a bus to San Ignacio. I figure that'll mean I probably will arrive in San Ignacio around 8PM.

We will be in Belize for five nights in the beginning of December. Looking for accommodations in town...would like stay around or under $50.00 us. We don't need anything fancy...just clean and safe walking distance to beach and town.
We are thinking about the Spindrift but I would love to hear any other options.

Hello ! We are in our late 50's and planning our first trip to Guatemala for a week sightseeing and Belize for sightseeing and relaxing on a beach at Victoria Hotel, Ambergris Caye. Hey all, I'm wondering about surf spots in Belize. Anybody know of any good ones? What about kite surfing? I'm thinking the cayes would be best, but dunno...?

I don't have a surfboard with me, so would like a place near a city where Icould rent.

Also, places to stay ... I'm looking to spend a week surfing in the mornings/evenings and working online throughout the rest of the day. Know of any cheap hostels/hotels with inet access?
