Hey there people, I hope you are doing well! We are three adults travelling to Belize at the end of January, for two weeks. Our budget is a little more than a shoestring one but we are bringing only backpacks (more for the ease of travel and convenience and we are simply people that appreciate comfort). One of my friends only has one week so we are trying to make the most of the first week by doing all sorts of fun stuff (the second week two of us will likely head South towards Placencia but…

I am wanting to spend some time at a Jungle Lodge in Belize but can not find out any information about the quality of the surrounding forests.
Does anyone know if the trees are older and bigger in one area over another. Pook's Hill claims to have old growth but I can find no information on this subject.
I realize there was a thriving logging industry in this area at one time.

We are planning on travelling through Belize and Guatemala with our 2 children aged 12 and 9 and were wondering if Caye Caulker is a good place to stop. They can not dive and enjoy the beach. From what I read it seems as if this is a good place for diving and there is not much of a beach to speak of. Shoudl we give it a miss and does anyone recommend somewhere else? We will also be spending a week in Placencia which obviously also has snorkelling and lovely beaches. Thanks

Hi everyone! My boyfriend and I are planning a trip to Belize for 10 days in mid-February. We've drafted up a preliminary itinerary, but I'd love some insight. Here's what we've got so far:

Day 1: Arrive in Belize City (early afternoon)

I am planning a trip to Belize sometime this Fall (September - November), and I'm trying to pick a month that will be the best for diving. I know this is the end of monsoon, but I've read different things about visibility and storms that time of year. Does anyone have any experieince or advice as to which month to go? I'll be going for a whole month of diving.
