We are heading to Belize for the first time in November 2012. Should we rent a car at airport or visit the Cayes thoroughly and then rent a car afterwards in Belize City? Also, is BC really as bad as it sounds? Thanks.

Have any of you taken a night bus from Merida to Belize city? I've read that ADO buses introduced one but it still doesn't seem to appear on their website.

Do you know if it is running every night and if you can get off at Orange Walk?

Any recommendations on where to do PADI Advanced Open Water around either Ambergris or Caulker? And do the dive shops let you also choose where you want to dive if you are doing a course? Also looking for reasonable but nice accommodation in Ambergris (50-100$)

Although misterbee got most of the infos on his great blog belizebus.wordpress.com, here is a quick report about our trip from Caye Caulker to Honduras by water taxi. Overall it was an great and easy trip. Although we have a 2 year old child, we'd always do it again.

I would much appreciate to get some advice on this: I'm planning on arriving in Cancun at 2 pm (after a 13 h flight) and would like to head to San Ignacio in Belize.
I don't want to spend any time in Cancún, but I don't think I can handle the trip to Belize City on the same day (waiting for the 10 pm night bus (I've read there is one, but the ADO bus homepage doesn't work...) and then the whole trip to B-City).

Am about to leave caye caulker, water taxi to Belize city -> overnight bus to cancun.

A couple of questions I've had conflicting answers about:
1. Does the bus stop at the airport in cancun
2. Does the bus leave where the water taxi comes in at (the girl who sold me my ticket here on cc said yes, but looking at a map it doesn't appear to.)
