Easiest is taxi. There are usually taxis waiting at most airports -- don't know for sure at Placencia.

If you want comfort, use one of the transfer services. If you want freedom to go when & where you want, rent a car or hire a taxi & driver. If you want cheap, get a bus.

Taxis will meet flights at the Placencia airstrip. Fares are US$6 to $25 depending on where you're going on the peninsula. The $6 fare is to Placencia village; the $25 fare is to The Placencia Hotel north of Maya Beach. Many resorts also meet guests at the airstrip and take them to the hotel for free. Check with your hotel.
Besides misterbee's suggestions on getting from Placencia to San Ignacio you can also fly Tropic Air from Placencia to Belmopan and take a taxi or bus from there to San Ignacio.
