Hello!

My husband and I are planning our first trip to Belize in March 2013. So far we have booked our flights in and out of Belize City but are stumped about where to begin regarding location/accommodation.

Our wish list includes:

1) Go cave tubing
2) Visit Mayan Ruins
3) Go zip lining
4) Stay in a rainforest tree house

Any suggestions as to what areas of Belize would be best for us make our list possible are greatly appreciated!!

Thanks :)

You will probably find that San Ignacio will be the best place to stay, and maybe Parrot Nest Lodge (google it) is a good choice.

You can easily combine a few of your trips into to one which can save on cost and fill a day better. We took a trip to Visit the ruins of our choice and cave tubing. It was a full day with lunch and ferry rides to and from the Cayes. Many tour companies offer this style of tour. If you are coming from Caye Caulker or AC you should be able to get to 2 or 3 activities on your list per day, most things like that are located on the main land so part of your day will be spent on the ferries.

We had a great time and would recommend it.

San Ignacio is a good place to do all 4!
