Living in Belize (SPanish Lookout)- questions to answer

I'm not an expert on the Spanish Lookout area, but since you haven't received any answers I'll venture these:

A small Mennonite pre-fab wooden house, finished and installed, would cost in the range of US$10,000 to $15,000, depending on the finishing and the size. You could probably build your own wood house for about US$20-$35 a sq. ft., again depending on finishings, quality, extras, etc.

Land prices also would vary tremendously, depending on access and suitability for agriculture -- good agricultural land is in demand in the Mennonite areas. You could expect to pay from about US$500 an acre to $5,000 an acre, but more than likely you could get a 50-acre tract for less than US$50,000.

Sewerage -- in that area you'd have to install your own septic system -- several thousand dollars.

Wood houses are subject to termite and other insect damage but with treatment should last 30 or 40 years at least, and likely far longer. There are wood houses in Belize City over 100 years old.

No particular flood or landslide dangers in Spanish Lookout unless you're on a creek.

As to living in the house for a year, it certainly would vary a lot depending on what kind of lifestyle you want. Electric is about 21 U.S. cents a kWh. Water you'd have to provide yourself from a well or cistern. Property taxes are extremely low

Basic medical care in Belize is generally free to low cost if you use public clinics, moderate if you use private physicians. Certainly just a fraction of what you'd pay in the U.S.
