Hi there, I haven't been able to find the exact dates for the La Ruta Maya Kayak race. It's always in March, and it should be the weekend of March 8th. Can anyone confirm this. Thanks. JB

This year, the event was held on the National Heroes and Benefactors Day (also known as Baron Bliss Day) long weekend. If I remember correctly, the race started on Friday and finished on Sunday. National Heroes and Benefactors Day was March 9, but the public holiday was Monday March 12.

Next year (2013), National Heroes and Benefactors Day is March 9, but the public holiday is on Monday March 11. I haven't heard the date of the event yet, but would assume it will be Friday to Sunday, same as this year.
