Caye Caulker :-)

Any horseback riding recommendations?
And can you climb to the top of the other ruins like Lamanai?

There's a small man-made beach at Old Belize, 4 or 5 miles from the City. A bus will cost BZ$1 each way; a taxi, maybe BZ$30 each way.

Re: Costa Maya
Here's the link to last year's festival. There's a schedule of events which should be similar to this year's festival. The Miss Costa Maya event is usually popular. That's on Friday night, otherwise Saturday looks good.
Maybe you can contact someone through the site to get event dates.

Re: I've scored more posts than yOu!
Thanks for proving that quantity does not equal quality.
case in point, Senor Timoteo (aka Taco Tim, Solohobo). havent heard from him yet, on this thread. Oh, I forgot: he's never been to Belize!
I have to admit I was a little harsh in my post about eddystonelightkeep, and I appreciate his not responding in kind.
San Luder (7) begins: "Eddystonelightkeep, by his own admission, has only spent about 2 hours on Ambergris Caye."
then: C'mon, if you're going to be 100% negative about a destination, shouldn't you at least have spent a little time there?"
To which I respond: I have, by your own admission, spent a little time (2 hr) there. But then, being a person of discerning intellect (2 college degrees), i dont need to muck about from one end to the other to get the drift of the place. At least I've been to Belize. Go pick on solo hobo!
