Hi!

I see dives to the great blue hole can be organized by several diving operators along the islands and also from Placencia.

I heard about some some professional operators in Placencia and their diving trip includes 3 sites (including the Acquarium), but indeed there are closer ones. My question, if you have an advice / did it before: from where would you suggest doing it?

Thanks!
Sam

Caye Caulker is closer and probably cheaper. I also went out with Frenchy's but as a snorkeler. There are other dive shops on the island. It pretty much depends on who is going out there when you want to and who has a big boat.

Thank you Eddy and Greggo!

I have a reservation from Placencia (as I will do whale shark diving there also)...but indeed Caye Caulker is closer so most probably cheaper too. Belize Diving's schedule (which I contacted before even contacting Splash in Placencia) had a GBH schedule that did not match my days...but I will try this Frenchy! thanks!!

I do have a diving & snorkeling LP guide...but if you guys think there is some special sites that really should not be missed, your suggestions are very very welcome :))

I have been diving in the Philippines & thailand...am excited to discover the second largest coral reef in the world!!

Thank youuu!

Hi Sam,
They change their scheduals often according to who wants to go where but usually one outfit or another will be going to Lighthouse Atoll if the weather is good. The real good coral is pretty much only out at the atolls. Turneff has a great wall drift dive and of course Light House has the blue hole and good coral all around. Glover's wasn't bad this year either. According to my friend Ed, The Philippines is the best!
