I have been searching for the information site which lists the various places in Belize with roll-down menus on hotels, the prices, etc....I think it starts with "Belize....". Very useful and informative. But forgot the name. Need it for my planning. Thank you for helping me (and others)

Probably the Belize Tourism Board site -- www.travelbelize.org

Was it Belize Explorer? This site is a guide to lower budget accommodation, and was formerly called Toucan Trail...

The Belize Tourism Board has a website...

The current version of the site has a "Places to Stay" section, but it's not very good. Perhaps you have seen the previous version of the site which had an excellent guide to hotels.

The Belize Hotel Association has a website...

Belizeexplorer.com is a remake of the old Toucan Trail site, which used to be part of BTB. It focuses on hotels under US$75. Unfortunately, it hasn't been updated recently and has a lot of out-of-date and inaccurate informatiion but is still very useful. Just to pick a few examples of incorrect information, its information on water taxis to Caye Caulker misses two out of the three current water taxi companies and includes one that no longer exists. Likewise on Caye Caulker it incorrectly states there is no ATM on the island. In hotels it includes Tina's Backpacker Hostel, which hasn't existed in a couple of years (it's now Yuma's). But if you use it with a more up-to-date guidebook or other website it is helpful.

I will check out everything with care. I'm planning a trip to Caye Caulker, using the water taxi from Chetumal. Again, thank you. (Visited San Pedro many times in the 90's)
