Thanks for Belize Zoo transport information information.
Other than the Seaspray which sounds OK, Julias Cabanas (dosen't get good reviews), what else can you recommend for 5 days in Placencia?
thanks

last year my squeeze and i stayed in one of the cabinas behind the Pickled Parrot. She thought that was the best place we'd stayed in Belize. It was about 50 B. Inquire at the bar.

Stayed at the Westwind 12 yr ago. That was real nice. On the beach.

Seaspray is cool. Travelers Inn a bit scuzzy but cheap.

At the budget end: Deb & Dave's Last Resort is basic, with shared bath, a bit back from the beach, but it's really clean and well run, and the owners, Dave and Deb Vernon, are some of the nicest people on the peninsula. Around US$20-$25.

Lydia's Guest House is cheap and cheerful and gets many, many repeat guests. Great value.

I agree about Westwind, Cozy Corner and Pickled Parrot's cabanas, all in the mid range.

Thanks everyone, our trip is almost planned. We are leaving New Zealand in 3 weeks for 3 months travelling around South and Central America, we have been travelling for 40 years and still get excited when we look at our pack

We had a good experience at Dianni's Guest House a few years ago. Clean, comfortable accommodations at a good price.
