I will be traveling to Belize for 12 days in September with a friend. We would appreciate any suggestions for our trip. We were planning on spending 3 nights in North Belize to see Lamanai, jungle and etc. Where should we stay for $150 a night max. Then we off to San Pedro for a few nights, any suggestions? Has anyone stayed a Tranquility Bay Resort on North side, how far is it into town. I would like to dive for a few days and thought this would be a good place.
Also any other places we should not miss? Should we go to Placencia? We are up for anything! Thank you!

Tranquility Bay is way, way north -- about 12 miles north of San Pedro Town. It's like being on a remote island, so don't expect to go back and forth to town for lunch or drinks or anything.
